Using Interact

How can I teach to multiple levels?

The Interact Curriculum makes this easy.  We provide material on the same or related topics at all the levels for years 1-8.  This means that students can be taught at their level, with adjustments to their educational needs.

What level of support will be offered to an Interact Curriculum user?

It is our intention to help you get established well in using the Interact Curriculum.  To this end, we provide detailed information about the Interact Curriculum in the Overview Manual(available on the web community for Interact members) and make the Teacher Manuals and Discovery Sheets as user-friendly as possible.  We have a comprehensive DVD that is useful for introducing the Interact Curriculum to Board members, teachers and, in part, to parents.  The web community is also a place for the sharing of ideas and resources.

It can be used for staff training purposes.  For schools seriously considering using the Interact Curriculum, we are happy to provide a staff seminar on Interact, either in person, or by video-conferencing.

Also for subscribing schools we are offering up to 3 hours of free professional development per year.

Do you have a list of other schools using the Interact Curriculum?

This can be supplied on request

Is there any way of developing relationship between schools using the Interact Curriculum?

It is our intention to provide web-based and email-based relationship opportunities for member schools who wish to share resources and student-research with schools locally or around the world who are studying the same topic at the same time!  This may become an option in time.

Do you supply assessment tasks/tests?

The Interact Curriculum provides many ideas and resources for formative assessment.  Ideas are within the Teacher Manuals for summative assessment, but we do not prescribe these, as we believe that teachers and principals should have school-based and class-based means of assessment which are relevant to the children they are teaching.
